Fork the editor

No other tool lets you fork the builder.

The pixel editor isn't a fixed feature — it's a cart, made of the same code and capabilities as the things you make with it. So you can open it up, see exactly how it works, and rebuild it into your own.

  • View its source. Hit “view source” on the editor and you're looking at the whole thing — no black box, no built-ins you can't reach.
  • Add your tool. Want a symmetry brush or a new export? Fork it and bolt it on. It's just code and capabilities — the same ones your own carts use.
  • Ship your editor. Save it, use it, share it. Someone forks yours and adds the next thing. The builder is just another little thing you can rebuild.

The Drive

Everything you make becomes material for the next thing.

Your Drive isn't storage — it's a pile of materials. A palette you mixed flows into a game. A tune you wrote drops into a widget. Make one little thing, and it feeds the next.

Make it once, use it everywhere

A palette, a sprite, a tune, a whole cart — each is a typed material any app can pick up. Draw it once, then reach for it in everything you build after.

Files you can hold

Download them, send them, re-import them. Your creations are yours — as real, portable files, on Tikku or off it. Nothing is trapped in a tab.

A creative computer

It's tools all the way down.

Most tools hand you one editor and lock the doors. Tikku hands you the whole workshop: every file opens in an app, every app is something you can open up, and you can teach the whole place new tricks.

  • Apps are file handlers. A sprite opens in your pixel editor. A tune opens in your tracker. You decide what opens what.
  • The editors are apps too. Made of the same carts and capabilities as anything you build — so nothing is a sealed box you can't reach into.
  • Invent your own file types. Define a format, register a handler, and the whole computer learns how to open it.

Draw the sprites, write the tune, edit the code by hand. It all lands in a real editor you can touch — never a re-promptable black box. You own it.

Save it to your Drive, publish it, share the file. Someone forks it and adds the next thing — and your creation becomes their material.
